Great intentions seem to disappear with the few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. From getting regular exercise to eating healthy, the holidays seem to have a way of sucking the energy right out of your will power.
How to keep a hold?
Breathe!!! Breathe!!! And breathe, again. Taking a couple of long, deep breaths is similar to the good advice from grandma to count to 10 before you react. 3-4 deep breaths takes about 10-15 seconds and can make all the difference in the world in the decisions you make.
Mindfulness is the key to holding on to your healthy intentions. Your breath is the fastest, easiest and cheapest method to stay present with moment-to-moment decisions. Moment-to-moment decisions are the steps that carry us from the place we are to the places we want to be.
