What is Functional Fitness?
Functional fitness training helps you navigate the physical challenges of everyday life safely and efficiently.
Bending, lifting, twisting, carrying–these are all movements we use on a daily basis.
Functional fitness training simulates these common movement patterns, training multiple muscle and joint groups simultaneously in order to help your body perform optimally and reduce the risk of injury in common situations.
In essence, functional fitness is working out for real life. Here at The Yoga Connection our Strength and Stretch classes concentrate on the Yoga Poses as a form of functional fitness.
