The Essentials of Essential Oils in Yoga
Saturday May 7, 2016 2:00-5:00pm
Location: Goldsboro, NC
Have you ever wondered why a scent can send you into a memory, can calm you down or charge you up, or can give you a headache or take one away?
Our own Windy Sloan (RYT, LMBT), will take us through a brief history of essential oils, how they are used as inhalants, topically, ingested and absorbed, and their health benefits. Whether for physical or mental health essential oils have an “essential” use within our health and wellbeing. So simple.
Then on to a yoga practice comprising of 3 different intentions: Grounding, Movement, and Inward Reflection.
Don’t miss the early-bird that ends on April, 24, 2016.
Sun and Moon Salutation Workshop
Location: Goldsboro, NC
Surya (Sun) Namaskar A & B are dynamic sequences for both mind and body, and at times challenging to get through. Windy Sloan will take you through the details, how to modify for your body, and to move through in calm attention.
The Chandra (Moon) Salutation is also a dynamic sequence that focuses on different body movements and a more soothing, quieting practice. A perfect counter balancing to the heat created in Surya Namaskar.
Open to all levels.
Early bird discounted rate ends May 28, 2016 so register soon.

Upper elementary students will gain self-confidence and cooperation as they learn to control their emotions and be active in their choices, in the 4 day camp “Cross this Bridge with Me”. A light snack will be provided at the end of each day for both sessions.
Kim Stroud, RYT200, has had a personal love of yoga for many years and, combined with her experience as an elementary school teacher since 2006, she is the perfect teacher to bring a Yoga Kids Camp to The Yoga Connection. Kim became interested in the benefits of yoga for kids when she saw first hand the stresses of school, friends, and home life on her students. In 2014 she was awarded grant funding in her local school system to study yoga for children and teach it within her school. She completed the Radiant Child Yoga basic training, levels 1-3. She continued her training and obtained her RYT 200 in 2015. Kim’s approach is to facilitate children in their natural abilities to explore the fun side of anything, including yoga.
Each session is $115 please register for the session you are interested in your child attending.
