Tension and trauma releasing exercises (TRE) is a technique developed by David Berceli, Ph.D. The exercises elicit neurogenic tremors which release deep chronic muscular tensions held in the body after experiencing a traumatic incident, and acute or prolonged stressful situations.
Open to the public, students, health care professionals, & bodywork specialists.
During this workshop:
- Learn about the science that supports TRE as a method for coping and healing the symptoms of trauma in the body.
- Experience the actual exercises to reduce stress and tension in body and mind.

Detailing the asana
The asana practice is beneficial for both mind and body. But sometimes as we move through the yoga practice in the classroom or on our mats at home, getting in and out of these postures can seem out of reach, or just not seeming to feel right. The breath can feel awkward, or seemingly non-existent.
Regardless of your level of expertise, taking time to uncover the finer details of the primary postures can enhance your personal practice, and lend a bit more comfort to being in the classroom setting.
This 3 hour workshop will give you the opportunity to detail the asana and breath work for your personal needs and goals, as you gain deeper understanding of the purpose to the pose.
Open to all levels. And yes! we will take breaks to give body and mind a chance to rest.
$25 after December 27, 2014 until date of workshop
